Top Workshops

Our workshops are geared to help you understand your career goals, the resources available to you and how to use those resources so you can reach your goals more quickly. This the type of workshops you wish you had in the beginning. Now that you do, let's take advantage of them.

Career Development

Employers today are looking for three things:

  - Can you do the job?

  - Will you do the job?

  - Will you fit in?

It is my goal to treat each opportunity as Employee Development and Educational Development to learn about the process.

Throughout your time here, CEO of One will assist you in developing your career goals and how to get there. In the first two sessions you will meet with a Career Coach and review what your current goals are. Each month there will be Workshops to help develop your Professionalism and your Preparedness as they Focus on Presentation techniques used in today's hiring processes.

For many clients the time frame varies. Anywhere from one day to 120 days to target the right company they want to continue their career at. The courses are designed to target:

   •    Your Career Goals
   •    Build your Confidence
   •    Create your Personal Brand
   •    Develop your Interview Skills
   •    Provide a list of Resources
   •    Learn about your Career Options
   •    Provide contacts in your Industry

Career Development is utilized for four particular professional needs; those looking to get into a career and not a job, those looking to change careers after a number of years, those looking to advance their career and those who are entrepreneurs and want to start their own business.

CEO of One will put your career goals first, it is time you did as well.

LinkedIn

™Social Media in general is a large part of today's hiring process. There is an etiquette more people should learn when using social media facets that are available to them. Whether you use Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Twitter, Foursquare or Instagram; you need to  know the pros and cons of it all.

One you need to have when building your career is LinkedIn. It is an online professional networking website that ™hosts 200+ million users globally. It is a better online resume and what we believe is a must in today’s workplace. It allows you the chance to stand out with keywords and a headline that others can recognize you or can help you develop how you want to be known, your Professional Brand as we call it.

™Catchy headlines can get you noticed faster by Human Resources. With more and more HR personnel using it to find and screen employment candidates. It is also an efficient way to network with other individuals in your industry; and with ™65% or more jobs in U.S. now filled through networking, why have you not built yours up yet?

We will help you add a professional picture so to be cautious of backgrounds, there are no selfie's as your profile picture, where you are dressed in business attire, do not have blurred photos, and lighting is just right.

We will educate you on how to search by relationships, by the company, the location, the types of industry's, or how to join a special interest group.

LinkedIn is especially helpful for company research during the interview process.

College Admissions

For the past 15 years we have seen a direct correlation to our clients success and the amount of education they receive. Whether you choose to only get industry certifications, Associates, Bachelors, Masters or Doctorates degree; education makes a difference in our clients lives and impacts their families lives.

We assist in preparing HS Juniors/Seniors and adults wishing to go back to school for either personal or professional reasons.

Paying for college can be frustrating and a lot to take in. We show you in detail the best options available when comes tot he FAFSA, scholarships and grants. The FAFSA stands for FREE Application for Federal Student Aid. You should never be paying for anything when completing the application. Many colleges will require this prior to being admitted or as part of their admissions process.

A popular resource for scholarships on a national level is www.fastweb.com or www.finaid.org. A great local resource for those graduating from Allen ISD is the Allen Foundation. Their scholarship information can be found on their site at https://www.allenisd.org/domain/2316
